Dr. Carrie Nantais is a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Master of Divinity degree from Boston College. Dr. Nantais’ areas of clinical training and expertise are in the areas of trauma and PTSD, moral injury, spirituality integration in psychotherapy, maternal mental health and grief and loss. As a clinician, Dr. Nantais uses psychodynamic, interpersonal and integrative techniques with individual patients. Consultation services focus on the use of mental health and psychological wellness in a variety of non-profit and for-profit organizations. Dr. Nantais is an accomplished public speaker and has extensive experience in retreat direction/presentations and social justice ministries.
Dr. Nantais is an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department at University of Detroit Mercy teaching Psychology and Religion, Ethics for Professional Issues, Psychology of Death and Dying and a host of undergraduate level psychology courses. In her previous employment, Dr. Nantais served as Director for Social and International Ministries for the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) – Midwest Province.
